In Brentwood with Luca
This week I’m in sunny Brentwood, CA, hanging out with Luca, my Mini Poodle sidekick. Actually, Luca lives with my dear friends, Peter & Armin, but they are groovin' in Greece, so I am here to take care of their home and their lovely pooch.
I haven’t posted here in forever, and until today, davidshogan.com was basically just collecting dust. That’s been bugging me. I spin a lot of plates—Mighty Tripod Acting Studio, Seattle Actor Photos—but I’m also an actor and, you know… a person. So, here we are. Personal blogging is back, baby.
I’m starting with this little update, but I’ll probably be back later this week. The site got a shiny upgrade from my team at Monster Development, and I’m having fun relearning it. Even writing this post is stretching me in new ways.
Back home in the PNW, it’s been a heat wave. I thought California would be a nice break from the gray skies—Angela says it’s actually warmer there (I miss you!). Today, in Brentwood, we hit 88 degrees. Too hot for me. Evenings are nicer, though, and Luca and I had a lovely sunset stroll.
That’s all for now. Flying back to Washington Saturday, then next week Angela and I head to ABQ, NM (so many letters...) to support our short film, A Trapdoor, at AFMX. If you are in the area, let's connect - I would love to share our short film with you at the festival.
If you are interested in seeing A Trapdoor and you live in Washington, join us in Poulsbo this October (more on that, soon!).
Check out A Trapdoor on IMDb.
Talk soon,
David (and Luca)
